Traditions in weddings include giving of wedding favors for the guests. What then are these things? These are small tokens of appreciation that are handed out to the guests after the reception. This gesture is very symbolic because the bride and the groom select a particular item that could mean something that is unique to them. In the early days, they used bomboniere, which is an Italian term for favor. They are small packages containing five sugarcoated almonds, which symbolizes health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life.
However, as times changed, more and more things have been added. From giving away the traditional almonds and sugar delights in fancy boxes, people have gone into more unique concepts. Everything has changed over time and these favors are becoming more and more practical. Candles, picture frames and other sweet little nothings, which are easy to find in stores, replaced these fancy little boxes with bombonieres. But the quest of being unique has never stopped and different concepts are still injected in the process. This is why saying thank you to your guests can reach out your guests in a more personal level through wedding videography.
With so many guests around the wedding day, you probably will not be able to talk to each and every one of them. What could be perfect keepsakes for you guests other than giving them highlights of the celebration, songs for the wedding and at the same time giving them a special message directed at them? They are so easy to make and it only involves three important processes. They are:
Recording- This part wherein the person in charged to get videos will be taking shots or capturing scenes important to the event. However, days before, the same person should be able to set up a meeting with the couple to do an interview about their wedding and formulating their special message.
Editing- This involves selection of the best scenes to create stories and highlighting important parts of the wedding. The message can come last before the video rolls on the credits. Music is also added at the background. Actually, these will look like a mini MTV for your wedding songs. After that, it should be saved on a file name that is most versatile of all so that it will be compatible to all sorts of video players.
CD Casing- Do put CD Covers on it with designs that coincide with your wedding theme. Do not forget to put a menu in there so that your guests will have an idea what songs are being played and if they select, at least they do it simply. As much as possible, make it lively and romantic.
Delivery- You can try to have done right away in the middle of the reception. It is all up to the person-in-charge how fast they can conceptualize these things. Usually you can come up with temporary favors like small little something at the end, but you can have this wedding videography to follow and have them sent on their homes.
