Any kind of qualified MC/DJ should be able to provide you a list of current recommendations; not just one or two, but seven to ten. Call those testimonials and referrals. You should get similar feedback from all of them. Ask if the DJ/MC went above the call of duty by any means and how they helped to make your event a success. As an example, at 1 of my events, the event planner at the facility became ill right before the wedding reception began. I quietly filled in and took over unbeknownst to the bride and groom, who had no clue exactly what had happened till after the event had been over.
4) Ask for suggestions.
An excellent DJ/MC has done countless events and has observed various sorts of weddings. Share your wedding day tips with them to see what kind of feedback they have for you. The MC/DJ will help you turn your tips into a reality and also add details that you never thought of. Make use of their experience to make your event far better.

5) Make sure they are accessible.
