Do you have to give a “Best Man” speech and you’re afraid you’ll turn out to be the worst best man ever?
There are some things you should avoid so you won’t end up with an embarrassingly horrible best man speech.
Stories from your partners childhood may seem really funny, but if the tables where turned and the announcer starts talking about your embarrassing stories, their humor will seem in very bad taste.
If a comic on stage falls flat it can be really cringe inducing. Just the same when the announcer at the wedding reception is the only one to laugh at their jokes then you just might have a cause to be concerned.
Consider the MC represents you and your fiance. Having them fall flat on the stage can make you look bad.
Be sure to choose a very close member of your family or your very best friend to be your best man.
If you or your soon to be wife know someone that is a known public speaker and has a great sense of humor, I’m sure it would be a great honor for them to be the MC of your wedding reception.
If you don’t know any public speakers then ask someone that has been an Mc For Weddings before and that you know to be trustworthy and eloquent enough to do a good job at your reception.
Hire some help if you don’t have faith that your friends won’t turn into the worst best man ever. Maybe you could hire a DJ that will also be the MC and that might help cut down on costs.
The costs are going to range quiet a bit but so is the quality of the speaker. There isn’t any professional training in being an MC so make sure you find out how many weddings they have done and all the other experience they may have had.
Remember that if you pick a friend do it the performance is going to be more heartfelt and natural then if you hired a professional. But, having your friend be the MC is free so you need to consider that too.
What ever way you choose just be very careful whom you choose to avoid having the worst best man at your wedding.
